Aegon: Drawdown on the up

Here we highlight some of the many advice opportunities following the increase in the maximum drawdown income limit announced in the Budget 2013, that you should be speaking to your clients about.

Increased GAD rate

The maximum drawdown income limit has been reinstated to 120% of the existing ‘basis amount’ calculated by reference to the Government Actuary Department (GAD) tables for drawdown years starting on or after 26 March 2013. With this change, comes a number of advice opportunities.
