Metlife strengthens service focus with new appointment
Shirley Fell promoted to Chief Operations Officer, UK
MetLife is increasing its focus on customer service for both advisers and clients with the appointment of Shirley Fell as its Chief Operations Officer, UK.
Shirley, who was MetLife’s UK Operations Director, has been promoted to spearhead MetLife’s ambition to offer the best ‘end to end’ customer service in the financial services industry and will be responsible for customer service across all MetLife businesses including Wealth Management and Employee Benefits.
Her responsibilities will include IT application development and change management across MetLife businesses.
Shirley joined MetLife in 2006, having previously worked for HBOS and Zurich in a 30- year career in the financial services industry.
Dominic Grinstead, Managing Director, MetLife UK, said; “We have made tremendous strides in customer service but need to ensure we continue to build on that progress and Shirley’s appointment is crucial to that process.”
The appointment underlines MetLife’s ambitious plans for 2013 as it anticipates that on- going volatility in financial markets will continue to prove the worth of its market-leading guarantees.
MetLife has seen rapid growth since launch in the UK achieving more than £3 billion assets under management in just five years and is established as one of the fastest growing life and pensions providers.
