Thames River Multi-Capital Newsflash
Tales from the River - new issue
We are delighted to publish a new edition of ‘Tales from the River’ which we hope you will enjoy.
F&C Strategic Review completed and details announced
For this edition we have taken the opportunity to give Thames River’s founder Charlie Porter the front page and give his take on the Retail Fund Strategic Review announced by F&C Chairman Ed Bramson on 15 May. Having met with Ed many times since his arrival at F&C, we are delighted with the content and direction of the Strategic Review which places Multi-Manager (and our team) as one of the cornerstones of the investment solutions-based focus for the group going forward. Now that the Strategic Review has been made public, any questions that many of you may have been asking can now be answered clearly. We are looking forward to continuing to move our Multi-Manager business forward with the backing of Ed Bramson and F&C.
Partnership unchanged, but a new home and some new fund names
We will be moving back to the City of London by the end of the year, to where our team was first established and where most of us have spent the majority of our careers. Our Limited Liability Partnership and the client-focussed incentives and independence of thought it personifies continues unchanged. It will also continue to be known as Thames River Multi-Capital LLP, although the funds that the LLP advises currently will move from two brands to one under the F&C banner, which we hope will make for greater simplicity for you and your clients.
On the road in June
We urge all of you to join us at the Multi-Manager Forum events across the country in June if you are able, the details of which are on the back page of Tales from the River. Or find out more and register at the Forum website here. We will then be able to thank you personally for all the support you have given us through this period of integration as well as updating you on our thoughts on alternative sources of income.
We are excited about the future and look forward to working with you through the challenges that lay ahead both in market terms but also for all our businesses more generally in a post RDR world.
