MyTouchstone supports ThePlatforum 'Dream Team Tour' 2012

London, March 2012 - MyTouchstone, the market leading IFA database operated by the wealth and investment intelligence services division of Equifax, is hitting the road with ThePlatforum, the UK’s leading independent specialist on fund platforms.

MyTouchstone is supporting ThePlatforum ‘Dream Team Tour’ 2012 which features a number of half-day regional roadshows offering a stimulating view on platform solutions for advisers.  Each roadshow event will provide updates on key issues in the market with a host of key speakers presenting their own seminars.

“ThePlatforum roadshow is a fantastic way for IFAs to gain a first-hand insight into some of the key issues currently facing the industry”, said Geoff Greensmith, Strategic Development Director at Equifax. “Each roadshow features a series of interactive demonstrations and debates, giving IFAs practical tips on improving their business strategy. Platforms and platform due diligence are some of the FSA’s current key topics, which is why we are very excited to be able to support these roadshows with ThePlatforum.”

The theme of the events is ‘Horses for Courses’ with the message that one size very rarely fits all when dealing with platforms. The roadshows will provide key updates on the following issues:

  • Client segmentation
  • Strategies for smaller clients
  • Pricing models
  • Regulation update
  • Investment solutions
  • Platform due diligence
  • Execution- only and restricted advice

The ‘Dream Team Tour’ is taking place from 22nd March to 9th May in Bristol, Scotland, Harrogate and Birmingham.

“Choosing a platform can be a complicated issue for IFAs, which is why we are urging them to take part in this free event”, concluded Geoff Greensmith. “ThePlatforum’s knowledge of platforms combined with the valuable insight from the MyTouchstone data will really help IFAs choose the right platform for their business.”
