The IFA community has spoken, Sants survey now complete.

I am delighted to confirm that some 741 completed the survey giving answers and comments totaling over 140 pages.

The results will be distributed to Hector as well George Osborne, the TSC, Mark Hoban, the OFT, CII, ABI and of course the press.

AIFA were offered a copy as we felt the information it contains would be useful to them too but Steve Gay wanted to have AIFA member responses only. We do not have the ability to separate and as he made it very clear that AIFA only acts in the interests of its members, a copy has not been provided.

This was the first and possibly only opportunity that firms will have to voice their clients views and concerns about the seismic changes ahead for them, from what we have so far seen it is very clear that very many consumers do not understand, or appreciate the ramifications.

From our initial analysis we hope that this will be a much needed, highly important and influential survey that many can learn from, especially the regulator and politicians.

The results will be published toward the end of January in a special Bento bulletin.
