New affordable guarantees from Prudential

Hopefully, by now you will have seen our recent announcements about the launch of our exciting new range of guarantees produced in response to customer and adviser feedback. These guarantees offer a great opportunity for your clients to protect all or part of their personal pension investment from market downturns on a specific anniversary date. They are available under the PruFund Protected Cautious Fund and PruFund Protected Growth Fund.

Affordable guarantees

The added reassurance guarantees offer clients can be invaluable but these options do not have to come at a premium.

“Customers can choose a term, essentially from 5 to 10 years, and the longer the guarantee is, the lower the cost*,” explains Stan Russell, Business Development Manager at Prudential. “Some of the guaranteed products on the market are very pricey, so being able to offer something with a charge of between 0.15% for a 10 years guarantee and 1.05% for a shorter term is very good value. It also gives flexibility and satisfies the adviser need and the customer need.”

*Once the guarantee term has been selected, the charge will remain fixed throughout the guarantee term. The guarantee will only apply on the chosen anniversary date.

For more information use our FRP Guarantee Calculator which illustrates the impact of different guarantee terms on charges, projection values and return in yield.

Use our pension wrapper to access guarantees

These guarantees can be accessed through our Flexible Retirement Plan – a retirement solution that combines a competitively priced personal pension, income drawdown and fully integrated SIPP option.
