Henderson completes acquisition of Gartmore

logo

Dear adviser,
I am pleased to inform you that the acquisition of Gartmore completed today.
Our overriding priority is to provide high quality investment management to our clients across a wide variety of asset classes. The acquisition of Gartmore is an exciting prospect because the highly experienced managers who have joined us bring skills in a number of areas such as absolute return and emerging markets where Henderson was less established. This, combined with Henderson's existing skills in fixed income, multi-manager, European equities, specialist equities, commercial property and SRI, increases the depth and breadth of investment talent that we offer to our clients.

In early March you received an interim update confirming fund manager responsibilities. Full details of our plans for each of the UK Gartmore funds are given in our Keeping you in the picture leaflet, which is available on our website.

Furthermore, you will find a detailed Q&A section within the document in which we have sought to anticipate most of the questions that you and your clients may have in relation to the integration.

Over the next few days we will also be sending a client version of this document to the 150,000 Gartmore clients directly registered with us.
